It all started in when I was in high school…
Picture this: I was fifteen, and the newest album of BTS came out. I obviously stanned them like any other teenage girl in my school did. The album dropped at midnight, so I was determined to stay awake. As the clock struck twelve, my Apple Music flooded with ‘Love Yourself: Her”. Nine songs, including an intro, a skit, and an outro. I knew my life was going to change. I knew I needed to see them in person before I died.
A couple of years later, in 2019, I heard Jimin sing Intro: Serendipity at Soldier Field, and that was the first hint I had about what I needed to do for my career. It started as this little inkling. My sister was an event planner at this local wedding venue/golf course. I always enjoyed her ambitious job and the satisfaction she felt when things went the right way. In the same way, when I grew into my own in my youth organization, I realized I enjoyed the same thrill. Event planning, concert-going, what could I do for my career?
Then it hit me. Concert and Tour Management! I mean, what else could satiate the hunger for live productions, but scratch the itch of event planning? The new question was how to achieve such goal. Naturally, I started off going to community college, where I learned the basics of human connection, and later interpersonal communications. It was then I decided that Communications was my career path.
Transferring to Columbia College Chicago showed me that I could do it. The amount of arts, talent, and skill, has proved several times over that this is where I am meant to learn. The support I am given at my school keeps me motivated to find jobs within student projects, but also professionally. I hope that this blog proves to you how much I believe in my projects, goals, and myself.

Here is me at the Olivia Rodrigo concert in Washington, D.C.. It isn’t only K-Pop that I listen to. At this point I have surpassed at least 50 different artists that I have seen in concert/productions/live events. I have always rated this concert as one of the best concerts and live artists I have ever seen! Every concert has their own unique twist, but this one always stands out above the others. One thing that I enjoy in the concert-world, is going to many different venues! The farthest I have travelled is to Los Angeles- TWICE!
Other than the concert-ing and fun-time enjoyer, I also have more critical skills that I have started to foster in a more professional setting. At Columbia, I have been challenged to learn editing in almost all forms, most specifically, video editing. In my portfolio, which is linked to this website, you are able to flip through some of my most recent work, whether I am in the video, or just simply showing off my rudimentary editing! As of right now, I am on the editing team for my class’s podcast production. Next year, I will be apart of Columbia TV, which is a six-credit course that serves as my capstone project, spanning the semester. Columbia TV, is a student-led and produced news channel with live airing, and post-air editing. At different times during the semester, I will be in charge of either gathering data, producing content, on air, or editing the post-air production. Of course, I will be adding these projects into my portfolio as soon as I can, but for now, enjoy my mini podcast episodes!
As far as other careers that interest me but fall into the same Communication pipeline — I also play and enjoy E-Sports. In fact, I am on the e-Board of my college’s Overwatch Team Club as the Communication’s Manager! Talk about a perfect opportunity for me. It all has to do with the touring aspects of the tournaments. The logistics, the pressure, the accuracy, it thrills me. Even planning minor events for my friends to all visit me from across the country gives me satisfaction. Being involved in the sports-tournament-side of E-Sports gets me excited. So many moving parts to find and settle before the teams even arrive in one place.
Here is the Overwatch Club interest poster that my President made for this semester’s club roster. We just finished up our tryouts for this semester, and now it is on me to help set up and iron out official matches against other colleges. Unfortunately we missed the deadline to be recognized as an official collegiate team under Overwatch, so the matches will be mostly unofficial “scrimmage” matches with the surrounding schools.

Hopefully reading to this point has interested you enough to at least check out my portfolio! Click on the ‘Portfolio’ tab on this website to automatically be taken to the flip-through (and interactive!) pages!
